It is with great pride that I introduce you to Cherry Oak School. We are a special school for children with cognition and learning needs including severe learning difficulties and speech and language difficulties. We believe in working hard to give our young people the very best we can and we value everyone as the individual they are. Throughout our children’s time at Cherry Oak we aim to increase their knowledge and understanding of the world so they can reach their true potential. We do this though a high quality and stimulating curriculum in a caring and secure environment where everyone works together and everyone is valued.
I have been working at Cherry Oak since September 2012 and was delighted to be appointed as Head of School in September 2018. I am honoured to lead a team of incredibly dedicated and hardworking staff. It is our staff, children and their families that make Cherry Oak School the wonderful unique place that it is. Working closely with our families is a real priority for me. This year we are increasing parental involvement through parent workshops and special events and I truly hope that all parents and carers feel they are part of the school and feel proud that their child attends Cherry Oak School.
