Building Services Manager

Permanent Full time – 36.5 hours per week/52 weeks per year

Working Pattern: Split Shift 6.30 – 9.30 and 13.45 – 18.00

 

Salary (Grade 3) £20,344 - £26,317 

To start:  As soon as possible

We are looking to appoint a Building Services Manager to work at Cherry Oak School. 

Cherry Oak School is a Primary Special School for pupils with cognition and communication difficulties and Autistic Spectrum conditions.  Federated with Victoria School and Victoria College, Cherry Oak School provides pupils with an outstanding (Ofsted, March 19) education. 

This is an exciting time to join the school and the successful applicant will be a valuable member of the site team to provide a clean, safe and secure environment for users of the school buildings and grounds. This role will include the line management of the cleaning team, co-ordination and management of external contractors and a requirement to undertake reactive repairs and maintenance across the site. 

 

Experience of working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the practical trade skills required to be able to undertake a range of repairs and maintenance issues and have the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a wider team. Responsibility for key holding and responding to alarm call-outs (on occasions) is a requirement of the position therefore a flexible approach to work hours is desirable.

 

A willingness to undertake further training as deemed necessary is a requirement of the post.

Fixed Term Contract Lunchtime Supervisor

 

Fixed Term Contract – Until 31.8.2020 - (7.5 hours per week)

Working hours 12.00 to 1.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

 

Based at Cherry Oak School, 60 Frederick Road, Cherry Oak, Birmingham, B29 6PB

 

To start:  start February 2020 or ASAP

 

Cherry Oak School is a Primary Special School for pupils with cognition and communication difficulties.  Federated with Victoria School and Victoria College, Cherry Oak School provides pupils with an outstanding (Ofsted, March 2019) education.

The successful candidate will be assisting with feeding at lunchtime and playground supervision. The ideal candidate for these positions will have:

  • a passion for supporting children and young people;

  • good communication skills;

  • enthusiasm, commitment, reliability and a willingness to learn

 

These roles will ideally suit people who wish to work in a vibrant SEND environment.
