Anti-Bullying

Cherry Oak School takes bullying and bullying behaviour very seriously.

We will be delivering a variety of activities and workshops to support children's understanding and knowledge of what bullying is and the impact it may have on individuals.

To launch anti-bullying week all you need to do is wear odd socks! It's a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique in Anti-Bullying Week! It will be held on Monday 15th November 2021. You'll find everything you need in the link below to take part in Odd Socks Day.

We are also asking parents and carers to send a pair of odd socks into school with their child. All classes will be challenged to make something inventive with the socks and to celebrate their uniqueness.

The winner will be chosen by our safeguarding governor- Sadie Bolton.

Stand Out Drama Group are working within Cherry Oak School delivering a collaboration of workshops as part of our “Youth Connect” project with pupils who are following a connectors curriculum.

Our aim is to give the children a voice to express in their own way what they think the issues are and how to manage them.

We are focusing on three topics which include:-

  • Positive Relationships
  • Anti Bullying
  • Emotional health and Wellbeing

We are going to be doing a range of activities throughout these interactive workshops including some role play as a visual for the children to understand and engage with the topics.

Children who follow an explorers curriculum will be taking part in sessions adapted from the 'What's in the Box?' format to build skills on turn taking and understanding emotions.

Other activities will be taking place to engage pupils on an explorers curriculum throughout the week.
