Social and Motor Groups

The social & motor groups combines social, communication and physical targets. The session consists of the group working with a 'Buddy'. Throughout the session the buddies have to work together to participate in physical tasks and activities. The buddies support each other to complete tasks, offering a helping hand or ideas. Encouraging good social skills and our school rules to help each other and have kind hands. Throughout the session the pupils are encouraged to sit high kneeling or long sitting to support muscle strength and posture. They explore activities to help with fine & gross motor, balance & coordination, social & communication skills.
