Welcome to Acorns Class

Most of us are new to the school and are starting to explore our new class and new environment. We will have lots of fun learning through play and continuous provision. We have access to a wide variety of toys and resources both indoors and outdoors to help us with our learning and our communication.

Week Beginning 20th June 2022

Acorns have been learning about instructions when exploring non-fiction text in Literacy. This was a brilliant opportunity to learn about oral health. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed working step by step through the instructions of the brushing teeth routine. We are incredibly proud of pupils progress with how they overcame their anxieties around brushing their own teeth. Doing it through instructions, allowed us to break the process down into small, manageable steps that pupils were able to anticipate and become familiar with. 

We engaged with these activities so well, we based this half-terms 'Stay and Play' activities around Oral Health. We invited our parents in for the afternoon to see our fantastic work, join in with activities and discuss issues they encounter at home with their child's hygiene routine. Look at the fun we had.....
