In Clover Class we balance a structured timetable with child-initiated learning and play. Communication and life skills are integrated throughout our timetable to help the students to continue to develop their independence both in and out of school. The children can expect fun and interactive lessons, helping them to enjoy learning and their time at school with staff who are there to support them every step of the way.
We visited the CBSO to see them perform an immersive performance of The Wizard of Oz.
Each character in the story had their own piece of music and dance moves, which we could copy and join in with. We had a wonderful time being able to see and hear all the musicians playing their instruments. Since we had all been practicing our animal sounds in our Spring Term Topic, our lion roars were very, very loud and fierce!
This half term we are focusing on Zoo Animals. In Creative Arts we have been listening to the sounds animals make and trying to identify them. We have had great fun copying their sounds and even tried acting like the animals too! We have also been looking at the different patterns on animals skin and printed our own patterns using paint and shaving foam
