Welcome to Elm Class 

In Elm Class we work very hard on our communication and life skills. Most of us use gestures, objects, pictures and symbols to communicate. The adults in class use ALDs (Assisted Language Displays) with us to help us to make requests and show how we feel about activities or experiences. We like our classroom to be calm and organised and to be a low arousal environment, meaning we do not like lots of distractions on the walls or surfaces. We are happiest when adults use calm, quiet voices most of the time, and when we know what to expect each day.

We do like sensory exploration and sometimes this can get quite messy as well as being lots of fun!

We enjoy a wide range of extra curricular activities including Adventure time, Victoria School soft play and Harris House sensory room.
